Where to Park for the NCAA Tournament

The NCAA Men’s basketball tournament is almost here and if you’re planning to coming down to the tournament in your car you’ll need somewhere to park.  Parking has never been easy at INTRUST Bank Arena and you can be sure that it will be even more challenging during the tourney.

Recommendation #1: Take An Uber

Our first suggestion is to take an Uber and leave your car at home.  If an Uber just isn’t in the cards for you, read on and see what options are available to those who insist on driving.  The Uber pick-up and drop-off zone is at the corner of Topeka and William St.

Recommendation #2: Drive to Lawrence Dumont Stadium & Ride A Free Shuttle

The free Q-Line trolley will run from from free public parking lots at Lawrence Dumont and the Gander Mountain Parking Garage on Wed Mar 14 for Practice Day and will also run on Thursday and Saturday.  The Q-Line drops off at the corner of Douglas and St. Francis.

Recomendation #3: Leave Early & Park In A Public Lot Downtown

There are a surprising number of public parking lots, although many will be charging a fee during the NCAA tournament.  A map of parking lots can be found at https://downtownwichita.org/get-around/maps.

Recommendation #4: Premium Parking Options Are Available...For A Price

Several private lots will be selling spaces, at prices that are likely to range from $20-$100.  One private lot located directly in front of the Arena offers the ability to reserve and pay online at www.BestArenaParking.com.
