Shooting Competition to Find Wichita's Best Shot
Are you a good shot with a pistol? Think you have what it takes to beat Wichita’s best in a shooting competition? Wichita’s Best Shot, a premier shooting competition will crown ICT’s Best Handgun Shooter.
Hosted by Thunderbird Firearms Academy, qualifying rounds will take place throughout the month of May. Registration is only $25 and includes a participant T-Shirt and Range fees. This event is open to the public weather you’ve been professionally trained or self-taught try out for your chance to be Wichita’s Best Shot.
“We’re thrilled to host this new event in Wichita,” said Thunderbird owner Ryan Pennock. “It creates great camaraderie among the many enthusiasts across the region, plus bragging rights that last forever.”
Qualifying rounds are open to the public at Thunderbird from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day May 1st - 30th. Quarterfinals and semi-finals will take place during June, leading up the Championship event on July 8th.
The final champion will receive an XD(M)® 4.5″ OSP™ Full Size 9MM Springfield pistol and the bragging rights of being “Wichita’s Best Shot” for 2017.
Date and Prize Details
Qualifying Round: May 1st through 31st
Prize: All Qualifying Round participants will receive a 2017 Wichita’s Best Shot t-shirt.
Quarter-Final Round (32 participants): June 10th
Prize: A gift bag featuring items from numerous firearms and accessory manufacturers will be provided to each of the 32 Quarter Finalists.
Semi-Final Round (16 participants): June 24th
Finals (4 participants): July 8th
Winner: XD(M)® 4.5″ OSP™ Full Size 9MM Springfield pistol
