Thunder Players Visit Hospital
Wichita Thunder players Mason Baptista , Andy Huff, Grant Rollheiser and Eric Springer spent some time yesterday visiting Via Christi at Murdock and St. Francis to help brighten up some of the patients’ day.
Over 1,000 teddy bears were donated by Thunder Fans during Nov. 21’s Teddy Bear Toss Night presented by Bank of the West, Hajoca and Convergy’s. Those generous donations will be distributed around Wichita to local hospitals, charities and youth organizations.
"I love being able to go out into the community to make someone's day better," commented Brittany Bynum, Community Relations Director for the Wichita Thunder. "Taking the players to the hospital brings a smile on the kid's faces. I'm thankful to have players who volunteer to go out and brighten up the child's day."
The Wesley Medical Center pediatric unit is schedualed for a visit from the players on Tuesday, Dec, 15 at 2 p.m.
Individual Thunder tickets for all games are on sale now. Tickets are available for purchase at the INTRUST Arena Box office, by calling 855-755-SEAT or online at www.selectaseat.com.
