Wichita Community Theatre Presents "Jake's Women" by Neil Simon

Wichita Community Theatre continues its 76th season with "Jake's Women" by Neil Simon. This dramatic comedy by one of America's favorite playwrights runs April 21–May 1 at 258 N. Fountain.
Jake, a famous novelist more at home in stories than in reality, faces a marital crisis by make-believing scenarios with important women in his life. These include his current wife from whom he is separated, his revered first wife who died young, his daughter (at two different ages), his meddling sister, his wise-cracking therapist, and his new girlfriend. The scenes vary between wildly hilarious and heartbreaking as Jake loses control and reality and fantasy blur.
Fans of Neil Simon won't want to miss this opportunity to see one of his lesser-produced works. Shows by this playwright often sell out, so reservations are recommended.
Performances are 8 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays, with Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15 or $13 for military/senior/students. There is a special ticket price of $11 for everyone for the opening night performance only. Call for reservations: (316) 686-1282. Box office opens a half-hour prior to curtain.
