Nested in charismatic College Hill, Wine Dive is a steady go-to for Wichitans. And on Sunday, they pull out all the brunch stops (including a kids menu!).

If you’ve got room for it, start with the fruit salad. It’s a light and creamy starter served in a martini glass. Fancy, eh? Then, keep it traditional with menu items like biscuits and gravy and the American Breakfast or mix it up with Cajun eggs Benedict, lobster or duck hash or their famous lobster, shrimp, mac and cheese.

Wine Dive probably has Wichita’s most expansive liquor selection during brunch. With eight unique “brunch inspired” adult beverages, it’s a tough decision. Patrons often enjoy visiting their Bloody Mary Bar where you can pick all your own fixings!

In the heart of Old Town, Public at the Brickyard is uniquely situated on the bottom floor of a restored warehouse. Their brunch menu puts a twist on some traditional items.

Try their smoked chicken & leek biscuits & gravy, salmon Benedict, greens, eggs & ham, breakfast burrito, rosemary potatoes or cheddar grits. (Props to Public for being the first restaurant in Wichita to serve grits!) If you’ve got a hankering for something sweet, their brioche french toast, tart cherry granola and multigrain pancakes will suit your craving. Rest assured, they also have a cocktail menu.

At the end of your meal, your bill will come to you inside an old book that usually has spicy memos from past restaurant goers that you can enjoy reading.

Dempsey’s Biscuit Co is a relatively new kid on the block, but you’d never guess it with their door swings and thoughtful menu. With top Wichita chef Bill Crites whipping up his magic in the kitchen, you’re bound to leave full and happy. Biscuit Co serves good ole comfort food like chicken & waffles, french toast biscuit sandwich (with bourbon-maple syrup, yum!), chicken biscuit pot-pie, Belgian waffles and smoked gouda grits. If you like some heat, order their hot chicken and biscuit and pick your spice level. They say the “Reaper” level is for those “who ain’t got no soul.” Don’t try to be a hero, okay?

Reverie’s stunning new location at the corner of Madison and Douglas is the hip place to be! Their signature coffee and made-from-scratch menu are sure to brighten your morning. Enjoy their biscuits and gravy (vegetarian option also available), German-style bangers and mash, ricotta pancakes or roasted homemade PB&J with banana brûlée, which looks amazing. They also have a variety of seasonal salads, soups and freshly made pastries and bread from their bakery.

If you like Brunch with a view, Newport is your spot. If the weather’s nice, you can sit out on the patio, or inside along the windows, overlooking the water. They have a huge buffet with options like salmon, shrimp, pasta, biscuits and gravy, bacon, whipped potatoes and stations for meat, pancakes and omelets. Be sure to save room for dessert, too! Their assortment of tarts, pastries and muffins are hard to turn down.

Newport fills up quickly on Sundays, so be sure to call and make a reservation.
