You Can Help Make Wichita Beautiful
With scenic river views, historic red-brick streets and an abundance of sculptures and public art, there’s no denying that Wichita is a beautiful place. Despite its natural beauty, however, some of Wichita’s outstanding aesthetic comes from regular maintenance, and we’re fortunate that our city officials are dedicated to keeping Wichita so pretty.
Whether it’s landscaping, applying a fresh coat of paint, or simply picking up trash, it truly is the little things that count. Sure, there are people whose jobs require them to perform these kinds of tasks, but that doesn’t mean you can’t help make a difference! Instead, you can show your appreciation for their hard work by getting involved!
Downtown Clean Up
The Wichita Downtown Development Corporation, the City of Wichita departments of Parks and Recreation and Public Works will host a Downtown Clean Up from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 1.
Participants can select the projects that they would like to participate in when they register. Though registration is required and must be submitted by Wednesday, March 29, participation in the event is completely voluntary. Westar Energy will be providing lunch to all volunteers.
