Wichita’s Off-Leash Dog Parks
If you’re looking for a safe place to let your furry friends stretch their legs and socialize, check out one of Wichita’s four off-leash dog parks.
Andover Dog Park in Central Park
1305 Central Ave
Andover, KS 67002
The area's newest dog park the Andover Dog Park in Central Park offers recreation and enjoyment for dogs of all sizes. The Dog Park is located at the south end of the Andover Central Park. The park has water fountains for doggies and dog parents alike, as well as logs and boulders for dogs to climb and run around.
One thing to note: Andover's discriminatory ban against pit bulls extends to their dog park. For those unfamiliar, the city wide ban includes any dog which has the appearance and characteristics of being predominantly of the breed commonly known as pit bulls.
Chapin Dog Park
2466 E. MacArthur Road
Wichita, KS 67216
(Near Hydraulic & MacArthur)
This is Wichita’s first dog park, and it’s located inside Chapin Park in southeast Wichita. Your pets can enjoy fully-fenced areas that are separated for both small and large dogs, as well as drinking fountains and shade. Restrooms and benches are available for pet parents.
The park also features a mountain bike trail and a gravel walking path. The Wichita Radio Control Club flies model airplanes at the park, too.

Murfin Animal Care Campus Dog Park
3303 N Hillside
(Near Hillside and K-96)
Another northeast Wichita option, this dog park is located next to the Kansas Humane Society. It features 3 fenced-in areas for pooches to play. One area is for small dogs, and it remains open all the time. The other two areas are for large dogs, but their use is alternated so the grass doesn’t get too trampled down from all the paws running across it.
