Wichita Fountains
Though Wichita (and Kansas, for that matter) is landlocked, there's no shortage of water in our city. In addition to the big and little Arkansas Rivers, some great lakes for fishing, and several splash parks and places to cool down, Wichita also has several notable water fountains. Check them out below!
"Waltzing Waters" Show at the WaterWalk
Each Thursday through Sunday at noon, the fountains at the WaterWalk put on a "Waltzing Waters" show that brings together water, lights and music for an unforgettable show.
The fountains have over 1,200 custom designed nozzles, and the shows are choreographed by hand. The fountains are 110 feet long, and they operate on 27,000 horsepower, allowing them to pump more than 22,000 gallons of water per minute.
The show varies throughout the week and weekend, so come check it out!
