Wichita Farmer's Markets

Springtime marks the beginning of the farmer's market season in Wichita. With a variety of markets set up all over town, you 're never too far from fresh, locally produced goods. Check out these local farmer's markets this season!
Kansas Grown Farmer's Market
Celebrating 27 years this season, the Kansas Grown Farmers Market is bigger than ever before! The largest grower-owned market in the state, the Kansas Grown Farmers debuts a new location at 21st and Amidon this year, offering a total of four locations in Sedgwick County and over 100 local vendors!
At the Kansas Grown Farmer's Market, you'll find fresh produce, meats, eggs, honey, breads, jams, jellies, salsas, unique artisan crafts and more. There will also be chef demonstrations, sample tasting, food trucks and Troubles the Clown visits from time to time!
Market locations and opening dates are as follows:
- 21st and Ridge, Sedgwick County Extension Office: Opens April 1
- 21st and Rock, Green Acres Bradley Fair: Opens April 11
- 21st and Amidon, Green Acres Clear Lakes: Opens May 3
- Derby, Madison Avenue Central Park: Opens May
Old Town Farmer's Market
When you visit the Old Town Farmer's Market this season, expect to see a few changes. Under new ownership, the market will be much more focused on locally-grown produce items. Bringing farmers back to the farmer's market, new owners Luke and Amy Snow have completely revitalized the Old Town Market.
The Old Town Farmers Market will continue to be open from 7 a.m. to noon during the summer and from 8 a.m. to noon during the fall, remaining open through October. Held in the Farm and Art Market Square in Old Town, this market features live entertainment, cooking demonstrations, a kid’s corner and more. Learn more.
Lincoln Heights Village
Located on the corner of Douglas and Oliver, Lincoln Heights Village offers a farmer's market of its very own. Unlike other local markets, this one operates on Wednesdays, open from 7 -11 a.m. and again from 3-7 p.m. This is a great option for people in or around the College Hill area.
Running May through October, the market takes place in the parking lot of the shopping center, located on the southwest corner of the intersection. With a Facebook event hosted by Little Lion Ice Cream, this is a great place to try a totally local ice cream flavor!
Nomar Marketplace
Plaza Nomar is home to ins very own market, too! Filled with a variety of cool and local things to buy, this market is typically open on Saturday Afternoons during the spring and summer. Located in the Nomar International Plaza at 21st and Market, this is a great way to learn the area's culture.
