LLS Man and Woman of the Year

Did you know that someone new is diagnosed with a blood cancer every three minutes? Though this is a bleak statistic, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society offers hope. As the world's largest national voluntary health organization dedicated to curing leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, LLS is improving the quality of life for patients and families every day.

This year marks the 18th Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Man and Woman of the Year competition in Wichita! The competition, which raises funds for blood cancer research, has been successful since its inception, raising $220,000 in 2016 alone.

Boy and Girl of the Year: Thom and Eevie

Candidates compete in honor of local children who are blood cancer survivors. Each year, two local children are selected as the Boy and Girl of the Year. The Wichita chapter of the Leukemia Lymphoma society has named Thom the 2017 Boy of the Year and Eevie the 2017 Girl of the Year. Funds raised for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society in honor of these two brave heroes will be used to further LLS blood cancer research.
