Happy Birthday, Intrust Bank Arena!

Intrust Bank Arena celebrates its sixth birthday this year! Bringing in big names like Elton John, Billy Joel, Aerosmith, Foo Fighters, Taylor Swift, Ariana Grande, Red Hot Chili Peppers and many more, Intrust Bank Arena is much more than a great addition to Wichita's skyline. Intrust Bank Arena Continues to Grow

Intrust Bank Arena has seen great success in Wichita since opening in 2010. Though year-end numbers for 2016 have not come out yet, the Arena boasted its second best year in history in 2015, with a net operating income of $1,150,206. The arena also saw outstanding placement in Pollstar Magazine's year-end rankings in 2015. 

Hosting a total of 131 performances, Intrust Bank Arena saw a total attendance of 439,767 in 2015. These numbers, based on worldwide tickets sales for shows between 1/15/15 and 12/31/15, placed the arena 35th in Pollstar Magazine's year end busiest arenas in the United States and 73rd in the world. Garth Brooks played a whopping six sold-out shows at the arena in December. Other sold-out shows included Miranda LAmbert Def Leppard and WSU Men's Basketball. 

2015 also saw 13 of the year's top 100 tours in terms of ticket sales, including:

The upcoming year will see the return of Cirque du Soleil, the Harlem Globetrotters, Miranda Lambert and Winter Jam are scheduled to return to Intrust Bank Arena, and other top tours of 2015 will return to the arena this year, including:

  • Eric Church (39)
