About Ruben's Mexican Grill
Ruben’s began serving Wichita more than 20 years ago, when they brought Mexican food to the Farm and Art Market. Ruben’s had a trailer at the Farm and Art Market for three summers before owners Ruben and Anita Acosta were offered a restaurant space inside the Farm and Art Building. The restaurant would remain in this location for the next four years. From there, Ruben’s moved to Douglas and McLean, where they stayed for 10 years. This year, however, Ruben’s Mexican Grill celebrates four years at its current location in Wichita’s Historic Delano District, where it receives regular foot traffic.
“This move was the best thing for us,” Anita said. “It was the best thing we ever did. A lot of people like this area.”
Known for offering the freshest, lightest Mexican food in Wichita, Ruben’s is famous for its fried taco dinner.
“Ruben’s food is the best of the best Mexican food and he cooks everything with love,” Anita Acosta said.
Using all fresh, never frozen ingredients, Ruben’s offers food that’s full of flavor. With both vegetarian and gluten-free options available, Ruben’s has something for everyone. The chefs will even take requests, whipping up special creations that aren’t on the menu!
