Father's Day Events and Specials

Newport Grill will offer a brunch on Father's Day from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Bring Dad out to Bradley Fair for a brunch that's full of his favorites!

The menu will highlight smoked pork with house-made sauces, baked beans, slaw and more. The brunch costs $21 per person for adults and $9 per person for children.

Dine in the restaurant and you'll be surrounded by elegant and nautical decor that sweeps you to the seaside, or dine on the large patio and enjoy views of the lake, the fountain and even a waterfall. 

If you're ready to start your celebration early, bring your dad out to the Stearman Field Fly-In and car show on June 18.

From 9 a.m. until 4 p.m., guests will be able to enjoy the automobiles on Display in the car show, and it's totally free to watch the planes land and take off from the Stearman Field runway! A band will provide live music from 8 p.m. until midnight, too, so come out and enjoy it!

If you start to get hungry, don't worry, the Stearman Field Bar and Grill will be serving food and drinks from a limited menu. 

Also offering a Father's Day brunch, Legend's Restaurant and Lounge will highlight a menu featuring a variety of breakfast foods such as scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, Eggs Benedict, omelets, waffles, and more. There will also be prime rib, fruit and vegetables, cheeses and salads.

The brunch will run from 10:30 to 2 p.m. and costs $18.95 per person. Reservations are recommended. 

From 8 a.m. until 3 p.m., fathers and families are invited to Granite City for a special Father's Day brunch. The menu will highlight roasted ancient grains salad, roasted pork loin, bacon skillet and Cajun pasta.

The modern American restaurant offers a "polished-casual" environment and features on-site breweries at each of its locations.

The regular menu highlight such items as sandwiches, burgers, steaks, flatbread pizza, seafood, pasta and more. Granite City can be found in west Wichita at 2661 N. Maize Road, or on the east side of town at 2244 N. Webb Road.

Bring dad out for a wild time at Tanganyika Wildlife Park this Father's Day. All dads will receive half off admission, and they'll also get a free feeding wristband! Tanganyika is open from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m., so you can spend the whole day enjoying the park with your family.

If your dad is an animal lover, this is a perfect Father's Day pastime. Tanganyika offers interactive encounters with more animals than any other zoo in the state, so you can get up close and personal instead of being separated by glass.

Located at 1000 S. Hawkins Lane in Goddard Kansas, it's just a short drive west of Wichita. Regular admission is priced at $16.99 for adults and $11.99 for children.

Knolla's will offer dads a free appetizer with a $10 purchase this Father's Day this year, so stop in for an app on the house before you enjoy your meal! Knolla's has been operating in Wichita for 30 years, Knolla's is a local favorite. It's even been voted the Best Pizza in Wichita for four years! You can find Knolla's at any of four locations in Wichita. The restaurant serves not only New York and Chicago style pizzas, but also sandwiches and more. All pizzas at Knolla's are fresh and made to order, so they taste great. Operating in Wichita for over 30 years, Knolla's has become a local favorite.

This Father's Day, Deano's will offer $1 off Stella, so bring you dad out for a beer or two! Deano's is known around town for its artisan oven-baked pizzas.

Is your dad a sports fan? He can watch all his favorite games at Deano's, as the facility is equipped with 23 big screen TVs. Whether he likes the NBA, MLB, Fox Sports, or any member of the ESPN family, he can watch at Deano's!

The Restaurant is located at 9747 E. 21st Street and will be open from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Father's Day.

As much as he loves food, you've got to take you dad out to do more than just eat on Father's Day. It is his day, after all! If you're in need of some great dad-themed events to attend this weekend, look no further!

The Father's Day special runs from noon until 7 p.m. on Father's Day, so you can really make a day out of your experience! Visit the Hall of Space Museum, watch a show in the Carey Digital Dome Theatre, see what happens in Dr. Goddard's Lab, and see a show at the planetarium to get the most out of your experience!

At All Star Sports and All Star Adventures, dads can play free mini golf with each paying player at regular price on Father's Day. There is also an online-only driving range sale running just before Father's Day. On June 16 and 17, go online to get 10 buckets of driving range balls for only $29. The Buckets can be used by multiple golfers over multiple visits, too, so you can spend Father's Day on the range with your old man!

All Star Sports is located at 8333 West 21st North in West Wichita and All Star Adventures is located at 1010 N. Webb Road on Wichita's east side.

Dads paying regular museum admission price at Exploration Place are invited to catch a show in the Boeing Dome Theatre free of charge! The Timing couldn't be better, either, because the museum is featuring a new film, "Flying Monsters." Bring your father out to enjoy a film about prehistoric pterosaurs! You'll both be able to learn something new at this unique Father's Day activity!

Exploration Place is located at 300 N. McLean Blvd., and will be open from noon to 5 p.m. on Father's Day. 

All fathers will receive free admission to Old Cowtown Museum on June 19. Stations will be available for children to make cards for their fathers, too! Gunfights will be held a 1 p.m., 2 p.m., 3 p.m. and 4 p.m., so be sure to see at least one of them! 

Old Cowtown Museum is a unique, open-air living history museum that depicts Wichita life between 1865 and 1880. Guests will learn what life on the plains was like more than 100 years ago, enjoy covered wagon rides, interact with costumed interpreters and more. Cowtown features 39 buildings for guests to peruse at their leisure, 27 of which are actual historic buildings from the 19th century. Cowtown is located at 1865 W. Museum Blvd., and will be open from noon to 4:30 p.m. 

West Wichita's Twelve Restaurant and Bar will offer a Barbeque Brunch for Father's Day this year from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. on June 19. Hardwood smoked brisket and prime rib carving stations, breakfast fare, seafood, and a dessert bar await you and your dad, so come out and join in on the celebration.

If that's not enough, BBQ pulled pork sandwiches, gourmet hot dogs and bratwurst will be included with each adult buffet. The Father's Day Brunch is available for $25 per person for adults and $11 for children ages 6-11. Ages five and under eat for free!
