Wichita's Funniest Person at The Loony Bin

The leaves are beginning to change, the weather is cooling, it is that time of year again. Pumpkin spice season? No, 2018 Wichita Funniest Person season at The Loony Bin. As you begin to decorate for the Halloween holiday, bustle about to find the perfect costume and most special gourd for your table centerpiece, comedians from Wichita and surrounding areas are gearing up for the seven-week battle to determine who really is the funniest person in Wichita! Well, the winner last year was from Kansas City but that’s close enough right?

Beginning Wednesday, October 3rd, comedians will line up in The Loony Bin’s lobby at 7 pm each week to jostle for one of fifteen coveted spots on The List, with three going to the semi-finals based on audience applauds at the end of the night. Qualify rounds will be held weekly for five weeks, ending on November 7th, leaving eighteen comedians for the semi-finals

Do you think you have what it take to be the 2018 Funniest Person in Wichita? Come out on a Wednesday between October 3rd and November 7th  by 7:00 pm for sign-ups, it is recommended to come early to ensure your spot on The List. If you arrive at 6 pm you can participate in a comedy workshop. Admission is free if you are performing.
