FEZtival of Trees at Midian Shrine, Nov. 12-15

Now through Sunday, Midian Shrine hosts the FEZtival of trees. If you're ready to get into the Christmas spirit, Come out to view the beautiful trees! if you see a tree you like, you just might get to take it home! A drawing will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, and the winners will receive a tree! The event is open Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday from 9a.m. to 3 p.m., and Sunday from 12 to 4 p.m.

Tickets are $5 each, and children ages 10 and younger get in for free!

Proceeds from this event go to children in the shriner's hospitals.

Shops at the Gala, Nov. 13-15

Shops at the Gala, Nov. 13-15

Peruse the Shops at the Gala this year at Century II's Expo Hall! This weekend-long event features live music, performances and photo opportunities all in addition to a great shopping experience! On Friday night, Guests 16 and up can enjoy a girls night out with entertainment and autographs from  the Kansas Firefighter Calender guys and gals, entertainment by DJ Brian Foley, music by band Slow Ya Roll, cocktails, giveaways and more! On Saturday, Curtis the Mentalist Performs and family Christmas Card Photos will be taken! And on Sunday, stop by for a photo with Santa Claus!

Advance tickets are available for this event. General admission tickets are $5, and general admission with a weekend pass is $8. Admission is free for children 12 and under.

Holiday Shops at the Gala is a charity event supporting COATS FOR KIDS, so don't forget to bring new coats, gloves, scarves and hats to donate!

Gingerbread Village, Nov. 13-15

Gingerbread Village Nov. 13-15

The Assistance League of Wichita Presents this year's Gingerbread Village at Exploration Place this weekend! From 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday, come out to Exploration Place and build your own Christmas creation! That's not even the best part! When you've completed your gingerbread house, you get to take it home, so put you skills to work so you can show off you masterpiece. 

Tickets range in price from $6 to $9.50, and can be purchased online.

Thunder Hockey vs. Missouri Makericks, Nov. 13-14


Thunder Hockey Friday and Saturday night. Games start at 7 p.m., come out to Intrust Bank Arena to support the Wichita Thunder as they face off against the Missouri Mavericks. Saturday will be the first ever Zamboni Bank Giveaway and Scout Night, presented by BNC National Bank.

Air Capital Comic Con, Nov. 14-15

Release your inner super hero or come to the dark side at this year's Air Capital Comic Con! Fans of gaming, comics, cosplay and more can enjoy a weekend of entertainment at Century II! Featuring artists and  exhibitors, this event has a lot to offer. Cosplay contests will he held in various categories, so come dressed in your best! 

Tickets are $5 for a one day pass and $8 for a two day pass.

DJ Carbon at Abode Venue, Nov. 13


On Friday, DJ Carbon presents Refresh at abode. If you're looking for an elegant and inexpensive night of dancing and fun, This is it. The event begins at 8 p.m. and runs until 1 a.m., and with cocktail hour from 8 p.m. until 10 p.m., it's sure to be a good time! Dress code is strictly enforced, so come dressed to impress.

Tickets are just $10 in advance and $15 at the door.

Also at Century II (that place is popular this weekend!), don't miss the Wichita Symphony Orchestra's Beethoven's 7th. The show begins at 8 p.m. on Saturday, and 3 p.m. on Sunday.

Tickets for this event range in price from $19-$57.

Ronda Rousey vs. Holly Holm at Side Pockets, Nov. 14


Come out to Side Pockets to watch UFC 193 as Ronda Rousey takes on Holly Holm live on pay per view with no cover charge! The weigh in is at 9 p.m., so don't miss out! 

WazUp Coffee House Fall Art Show, Nov. 14

Stop by WazUp Coffee House in Derby this Saturday from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. for the fall art show! See the works of talented local artists on display in the community room. The show will feature art in many media, like painting, drawing, sculpture, jewelry and more! Pieces of art will be available for purchase, but admission to the event is free! While you enjoy the art work, you can also enjoy delicious coffee and bakery items in the coffee shop! WazUp Coffee House also features a small library and two meeting rooms that are available by reservation at no charge. 

Girls on the Run 5K, Nov. 15

Come out to Sedgwick County Park this Sunday at 2 p.m. to support local elementary school girls as they participate in the Girls on the Run 5k! Girls on the run is a program for elementary school girls in grades 3-8. that serves to encourage young girls and promote self esteem and the importance of healthy lifestyles. Prerace entertainment begins at 12:45 p.m., so don't miss out on the fun. This event is know to feature face painting, temporary hair color, lots of glitter and more! Come cheer on the girls as they compete in the program's final event, the 5K run.
