Outdoor Living and Landscape Show
“If you remember going to the Wichita Garden Show back in the day, you’ll want to check this out,” Brad Horning said of the Outdoor Living and Landscape Show he produces through Entercom.
Though the event is only in its sixth year, it picks up where the former Wichita Garden Show left off. Combined with the Garden Show’s 44-year run, the Outdoor Living and Landscape show celebrates 50 years of landscape shows in Wichita this year.
Show Growth
Beginning in 2012, the Outdoor Living and Landscape Show debuted with just 70 exhibitors in Century II’s Expo Hall.
“since then we’ve hosted the likes of P. Allen Smith and Paul James, The Gardener Guy. Each year we get more landscape companies building even bigger display gardens,” Horning said.
This year, for the first time ever, the show will expand into the Convention Hall, affording an additional 150,000 square feet of exhibiting space to accommodate more vendors than ever before.

2017 Outdoor Living and Landscape Show
The Show will feature 150 exhibitors, offering the most spectacular display gardens in the state of Kansas.
“The gardens are being constructed by the likes of Scenic Landscapes, Hongs, Suburban Landscape Management, Proscape, Meadowlark, New Image, Professional Landscaping Services and Titan Allscapes,” Horning said.
In addition to Garden designs, the Outdoor Living and Landscape Show will feature displays including outdoor kitchens, lawn mowers and equipment, breathtaking water features, greenhouses and nurseries, windows and siding, hot tubs and more.
If gardening isn’t your thing, check out some of the shows other features, like educational seminars, cooking demonstrations, a children’s garden, tiny houses, a bee farm, Adopt-A-Pet and more. While you’re there, don’t miss out on a chance to win an $8,500 Backyard Makeover!
There’s plenty to see and even more to learn at the Outdoor Living and Landscape Show.
“Six years ago, I knew nothing about plants and birds and rocks and things…Now I’m a freak! I even know what a pergola is,” Horning said. “It is simply the greatest time I’ve ever had going to work.”
