Cero's Candies 130th Anniversary

Swing by Cero's Candies on Friday, Nov. 6, to celebrate the shop's 130th anniversary! enjoy candy samples, birthday cake, coffee, tea, and punch during the day, and at 6 p.m., the event becomes 21+, as Cero's will serve beer from Hopping Gnome as well as wine, coffee and tea. Guests can listen to live music while they enjoy their drinks and candies. The event will feature drawings and door prizes, and 10% pf proceesd from the event will got to the Wichita Children's Home.
Culture Dash 5K

The Culture Dash is a 5k run/walk takes place on Saturday, Nov. 7. Hosted by the Mid-America All-Indian Center and Friends, the events serves to promote healthy lifestyles and also to commemorate the Day of the Dead. Registration will begin at 7:30 a.m., the race will begin at 9:30 a.m., the Toddler Trot will begin at 10:30 a.m., and awards will begin at 10:45 a.m. The Indian Center will host activities after the race, charging just $1 admission to the Museum. Registration is $30.
600 Miles, Indie at the Orpheum

On Sunday, Nov. 8, Indie at the Orpheum will continue with the showing of "600 Miles" at 3 p.m. "600 Miles" centers around a gun trafficker between the United States and Mexico named Arnulfo Rubio. As ATF agent Hank Harris closely follows Rubio, a risky mistake results in a desperate decision by Rubio, who smuggles the agent to Mexico. Interested in what happens next? Head to the Orpheum on Sunday to check it out! Doors open at 2:30 p.m. and tickets are $10.
Spirit Aerosystems Veterans' Day Parade and Celebration of Heroes

On Saturday, Nov. 7, say thank you to our veterans from 11 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. in Downtown Wichita for the Veterans' Day Parade and Celebration of Heroes hosted by Spirit Aerosystems. The event will feature food trucks, face painting and more in addition to the parade, which will take place on Main street and conclude at the Water Walk.
Holiday Tables at Wichita Center for the Arts

Come out to Designing Women's Holiday Tables fundraiser at Wichita Center For the Arts now through Saturday. From 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., see the Center's galleries transformed into a hub of decorating ideas for the upcoming season! Tablescapes of all shaped and sizes will be decorated by businesses, individuals and non-profit organizations. In the boutique, guests can shop for holiday items and baked goods. The event will also feature a luncheon. Holiday Tables is for ages 8+, and admission is $12 per person.
Brew Ha Ha at Flint Hills National Golf Course

Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters hosts the ninth annual Brew Ha Ha at Flint Hills National on Friday, Nov. 6 from 6:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. Take a party bus from the clubhouse to one of five of the Flint Hills lodges. Each lodge will feature the culinary arts of Wichita's best chefs as well as beer pairings. Wine pairings will be available with the purchase of a tumbler. Tickets to this event are $150 each, and can be purchased in advance. Proceeds go to Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters serving Sedgwick County.
