ICT FEST Preview
The annual ICT FEST, a three-day music festival featuring over 40 local and regional bands, begins tonight with a kick-off pre-party at Barleycorn’s starting at 9:30 p.m. The bands are some of the most notable in the area and their styles range from indie rock, pop, punk, noise rock, hip hop, electronic and more.
Beginning in 2004, the festival aims to help build a thriving creative community in Wichita by showcasing as many different musical acts as possible in the same event to share crowds, ideas and fun. ICT FEST also brings acts touring nationally and regionally to Wichita to both show the audience new bands and for those bands to see what music is happening in Wichita.
ICT FEST will hold its main event at El Vaquero located at Central and Cleveland in Wichita. Tickets are $12 per day, or $20 for a three-day pass to all the shows. The shows are all ages and kids under 12 are free.
