Wichita Easter Egg Hunts
Easter is just around the corner, and the warm weather has everyone ready to celebrate! If you're looking for a great way to get in the Easter spirit and enjoy some fresh air, you're in luck! There are a lot of Easter egg hunts and celebrations taking place in and around Wichita this month. Check them out below!
Easter Eggstravaganza at Sedgwick County Zoo, April 15

A variety of different Easter themed activities will be available during the Sedgwick County Zoo’s Easter Eggstravaganza! From 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, guests will be able to meet the Easter Bunny, play guessing games and much more!
Bring your Easter baskets so you can collect goodies that will be located all over the Zoo! The Easter Eggstravaganza takes a unique approach to traditional egg hunts. Rather than collecting eggs, guests can look for large eggs that will be hidden throughout the zoo. Be sure to keep a close count, because answers will be redeemable for a prize!
Special activities will be held for children with special needs (1 p.m.) and visually impaired children (2 p.m.)
Bunny Bonanza at Tanganyika Wildlife Park, April 15

The Bunny Bonanza Easter egg hunt returns to Tanganyika Wildlife Park on April 15. Beginning at 10:26 a.m. this year, the event is sure to be loads of fun! Guests will have the opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny and several other animals when they visit! Though few specific details have been released for this year's Bunny Bonanza, the event has been known to offer games, candy stations, mini egg hunts and prizes!
Tanganyika Wildlife Park offers a unique up-close approach to the traditional zoo experience. Offering a variety of interactive animal encounters, Tanganyika is the perfect place to learn about and connect with animals!
Easter Egg Hunt at All Star Sports, April 15

On April 15, All Star Sports (located on west 21st St.) also hosts an annual Easter egg hunt on the mini golf courses! Hunts will be held at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. and will offer three age groups. This event’s $3 per child donation will benefit the Special Olympics Kansas, so bring your basket and enjoy the Easter festivities for a great cause!
All Star Sports will also offer an egg hunt special, allowing guests unlimited access to mini golf, go-karts, laser tag and the climbing wall from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. The cost to attend is $14.99 for guests under 56" tall, and $19.99 for guests 56" and over.
Easter Egg Hunts at High Park and Idlewild Park, April 15

The annual egg hunt hosted by the Derby Recreation Commission and the Derby Optimist Club will be held on April 15 at 11 a.m. at High Park. The event will include both an egg hunt and an opportunity to meet the Easter Bunny! The egg hunt will have four age ranges: three and under, four and five, six and seven, and 8-10. Participants should bring their own Easter baskets. The egg hunt will be held on the High Park ballfields. In the event of inclement weather, it will be moved to the Derby Recreation Center. The event is free and open to the public, so bring the kids out for some fun! If you can't make it, no worries. There's another egg hunt and chance to meet the Easter bunny at 1:30 p.m. at Derby's Idlewild Park! Both events are free and open to the public.
Midian Shrine Egg Hunt at Orchard Park, April 15

On Saturday, April 15 from 10 a.m. to noon, the Midian Shrine hosts a free children’s Easter egg hunt at Orchard Park.
The event will feature games, prizes and an egg hunt that will be divided into various age groups.
After the egg hunt, grab some lunch! Hot dogs, hamburgers, and drinks will be available for just $5 for adults and lunch is free for kids! Orchard Park is located at 4808 W. 8th Street.
Youth Horizons Easter Sun Run at Sedgwick County Park, April 15

On April 15, head out to Sedgwick County Park for the Youth Horizons Easter Sun Run. Beginning at 8:30 a.m., the event will feature a 10k race, a 2-mile run and a 2-mile walk.
A total of $2,500 will be given away in prize money, and additional awards will be given to winners in all age groups. Proceeds from the event will benefit Youth Horizons.
After the race, recharge your battery with music, door prizes and a barbecue lunch. Lunch and a t-shirt are included with registration. To participate, register online.
Indoor Egg Hunt at Ark Church, April 15

Maize's The Ark Church will host indoor Easter egg hunts for a variety of different age groups on April 15.
The event begins with a hunt for one-year-olds at 12:30 p.m. Two-to-three-year-olds will begin their hunt at 1 p.m., followed by 4-5-year olds at 1:30 p.m. A half hour later, 6-8-year-olds will start searching for eggs at 2 p.m. At 2:30 p.m., the final egg hunt, for ages 9-11, will be held. Registration is priced at $1 per child. Come hunt for candy-stuffed eggs and even a few prizes!
Easter Egg Hunt at All Star Adventures, April 16

All Star Adventures (Wichita's east side All Star location) will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt on April 16. The hunt will offer three age groups: 3-5, 6-8, and 9-10. Space is limited, and participants are encouraged to bring their own baskets. The event will begin at 2 p.m. on the driving range. There will also be a chance to meet the Easter Bunny! A $3 per child donation will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Kansas, and a charity raffle will be held after the event. There will also be an egg hunt special for guests who wish to stay and play! Unlimited mini golf, go-karts and amusement rides will be available from noon until 6 p.m. Cost per person is $14.99 for guests under 48” tall and $19.99 for guests over 48”.
Meet the Easter Bunny at Towne East Mall

Bring the kids out to Towne East Mall to meet the Easter Bunny. Now through Easter, he can be found on the lower level of the mall, just in front of Sears.
