Would You Believe Riverfest is Bigger Than These Festivals?
Riverfest is unique, so it's hard to make comparisons, but many Wichitans don't realize just how big Wichita's Riverfest actually is.
According to Wichita Festivals CEO Mary Beth Jarvis "We’re top 30 nationally, top 50 worldwide, as compiled by PollStar. That’s based on ticket (button) sales of 97,000 last year. Because our buttons are reusable, we have to count that number, rather than our total attendance of 410,000."
Here are several famous festivals that pale in comparison to Riverfest.
Bonnaroo
This music festival in the middle of Tennessee sees a crowd of 80,000. For about $350, Bonnaroo has an impressive music lineup every year... They do not have an Admiral Windwagon Smith or a Medallion hunt.
