Spring Break in Wichita
It’s nearly spring break, and that means it’s time to start making plans. If you’re planning to spend your time off in Wichita, you’re in luck. This city has a lot of great attractions to check out, and some of them even offer spring break specials. Take a look below.

The Wichita Art Museum

The Wichita Art museum offers free admission every Saturday, so you can kick off or wrap up your dpring Break at the art museum free of charge! The Wichita Art museum is home to a permanent collection of more than 7,000 pieces, and features additional travelling exhibits. It’s a great way to spend a day! Regular admission is $7 for adults, $5 for seniors, and $3 for students. The Wichita Art Museum's hours are 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. un Tuesdays through Saturdays and noon until 5 p.m. on Sundays. The muesum is closed on Mondays. The museum will also offer a program called Artcation during spring break. Artcation allows kids, high schoolers and their families to come out and create their own works of art! The museum will also screen special family movies are part of the spring break event! This event runs from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Sedgwick County Zoo

Spring break is a great time to visit the Sedgwick County Zoo. The weather’s warming up and the animals are coming out! The Zoo is open daily, so you can visit on any day during your break! The zoo features several exhibits and over 3,000 animals from all over the world. With exhibits dedicated to North America, Asia, Africa, Austraila, the Tropics and more, guests will see a variety of species from across the globe.
Conveniently located right next door, Sedgwick County Park offers a perfect end to a day at the zoo. The park features is a great place to play or go on walks, especially when the weather is nice.
Exploration Place

If you want to learn something new over spring break, a visit to Exploration Place is a great option! Families will have a blast while they learn about music, science and more at Exploration Place! Kids can even play in a three-story castle! Exploration place is open from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. on Tuesdays through Saturdays, and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays. The museum is closed on Mondays.

Tanganyika Wildlife Park

Tanganyika Wildlife reopens for the season on March 12, just in time for spring break. Experience an interactive encounter with animals like Lorikeets, red kangaroos, camels, giraffes, lemurs and more! Tanganyika offers a personalized experience that guests won’t find anywhere else. You'll get up close and personal with the animals at Tanganyika, rather than seeing them through the glass. Tanganyika Wildlife Park hopes to improve its guests' connection with the animals, and to promote education and conservation.
The park will be open from 10:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily during spring break. Admission is $16.99 for adults and $11.99 for children.
Get Air Wichita

Jump, climb, flip and play at Get Air trampoline park this spring break! Featuring thousands of square feet of trampolines with basketball court, a dodgeball area, a main court and more, you’ll have lots to do! If you are in to trick and stunts, you’ll love Get Air. The facility is equipped with large foam pits to jump into and even features delayed cameras that allow you to see your best tricks on giant flat screen monitors. You can also jump into the foam pits from the climbing nets above.
Get Air is open from noon until 8 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, noon to midnight on Fridays, 10 a.m. to midnight on Saturdays and from noon to 8 p.m. on Sundays. Prices vary.
Wichita Ice Center

If you’re looking for a cool way to spend your spring break, stop by the Wichita Ice Center. Offering public skating sessions daily, this is a great spring break go-to! If you visit on Tuesday, admission is just $2. Add in a $3 skate rental, and you’ve got an afternoon of fun for only $5!
The Wichita Ice Center is open from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Mondays through Thursdays, 8 a.m. until 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and noon to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
The Kansas Cosmosphere

Enjoy free admission to the Kansas Cosmosphere’s space museum with a ticket for Smithsonian museum day live on March 12. Smithsonian Museum Day live offers free admission to museums associated with the Smithsonian. Download a ticket here. The Kansas Cosmosphere features a combination of films and artifacts that teach guests about space. Featuring the Carey Digital Dome Theatre, the Justice Planetarium, and Dr. Goddard's live rocket demonstration, and the Hall of Space Museum, guests will have a lot of options, and an experience that's out of this world!
Wildlife Week at Great Plains Nature Center

Experience all areas of the wild with the Great Plains Nature Center's spring break wildlife week! Kids can learn about plants, animals, fungi and more at the 5-day long event! The event's theme will be the food chain, and each day will feature a different level. They are as follows:
• Monday – Plant Life Day (Producers)
• Tuesday – Herbivore Day (Primary)
• Wednesday – Omnivore Day (Secondary)
• Thursday – Top Dog Day (Tertiary)
• Friday – Snail and Fungi Day (Decomposers / Detritivores)
Offering crafts, presentations, hikes and much more, guests will experience new things, gain some new skills, and enjoy nature at GPNC. The event will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, from March 14-18. And the best part? It's totally free! Stop by and check it out.
Critter Camp at the Kansas Humane Society

Children in grades K-5 will have a ball learning about animals at the Kansas Humane Society's Critter Camp! The spring break program allows children to play games, paint with puppies, go on tours, visit the clinic, make crafts, enjoy a snack and drink, and more! Through these activities, children will learn about basic animal care and safety, pet training, the bond between people and animals, the importance of veterinary care and even more.
The camp runs March 14 through March 18, and two sessions are available. The morning session runs from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m., and the afternoon session runs from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m.
Children can enroll for one session, two sessions, or the entire week! Morning and afternoon content will be the same, but each day will hold something different! The enrollment fee for Spring Break Critter Camp is $25 for one half-day session or $100 for an entire week of half-day sessions.
The Alley

Are you ready for unlimited entertainment? The Alley features a variety of activities such as bowling, a laser maze and go Karts. During spring break, the Alley will offer unlimited access to these activities as well as a $5 arcade card for just $20.99 on March 14 from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m., March 15 and 16 from 10 a.m. until 11 p.m., and March 17 from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.
This package is available for $25.99 on weekend dates, including March 11 from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m., March 12 from 11:30 a.m. until 10 p.m., March 13, from noon to 11 p.m., March 18 from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m., March 19 from 11:30 a.m. until 10 p.m., 3nd March 20 from noon until 11 p.m.
All Star Sports or All Star Adventures

All Star Sports also offers an unlimited spring break deal. The purchase of an unlimited wristband for $29.99 allows guests four hours of unlimited laser tag, go karts, mini golf and climbing wall access! This is the only wristband offered all season that includes unlimited go karts. All Star Sports is located in west Wichita at the intersection of 21st and Tyler. The location is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily (Opens at 11 a.m. on Sundays.)
All star Adventures offers the same deal. All Star Adventures's the season for kicks on March 12, so the amusement rides will be open just in time for spring break! All Star Adventures is located at 1010 N. Webb Road, and the spring break schedule is as follows:
On March 11 All Star Adventures will be open from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. with rides and go karts available after 5 p.m. All attractions will be available from this point on whenever the park is open. Special spring break hours are:
March 12 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., March 13 from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m., March 14-17 10 a.m. until 9 p.m., March 18-19 10 a.m. until 10 p.m., and March 20 11 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Glow Golf

One of west Wichita's hidden gems, Glow Golf is a truly unique experience, and it's great for kids! taking a unique approach to traditional miniature golf, Glow Golf features blacklights and fluorescent golf clubs, balls, and holes that glow in the dark! Guests can test there miniature golfing skills at Glow Golf, located at 2243 N. Ridge Rd, where dozens of holes filled with glowing obstacles await! The holes range in level of difficulty, but you don't have to be a pro to play. Glow Golf is open from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. from March 14-17, and from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. on March 18.
When you visit, don't forget to check out the laser maze challenge! In this challenge, participants must climb through lasers in record time without breaking the beams! Tickets for Glow Golf are $10 each for adults, $8 each for children ages 5-12, and $5 for children four and under. (Additional fees apply for the laser maze.)
