Meet the 2019 Dam Music Fest Headliners

Dam Music Fest is bringing three days of music, sand, sun and fun to El Dorado Lake. We thought you'd like to get to know some of the headliners coming to this year's festival.

Thursday

Josh Abbott Band

Who - A Texas country band originally from Lubbock, composed of Josh Abbott (vocals, guitar), Austin Davis (banjo), Preston Wait (fiddle, guitar, steel), Edward Villanueva (drums), Caleb Keeter (guitar), David Fralin (keys/mandolin), and Jimmy Hartman (bass guitar).

Hometown – Lubbock, Texas

Best Known Songs – Oh, Tonight & Wasn’t That Drunk

Bio Excerpt – On August 18, 2017 Josh Abbott Band released their 5th studio album titled "Until My Voice Goes Out" which included a string and horn section. The string and horn section were also incorporated on the national "Until My Voice Goes Out" tour. "Until My Voice Goes Out is an eclectic album built from Abbott’s life experiences ranging from the birth of his daughter to the sudden and heartbreaking death of his father one month into the album-making process, all weaved together with striking strings and horns.” 


Stoney Larue

Who - An American Texas Country/Red Dirt artist. Born in Taft, Texas, LaRue was raised in Yanush/Buffalo Valley, Oklahoma where he still visits regularly and began playing country music at a young age.

Hometown – Taft, Texas

Best Known Songs – Lord Loves The Drinkin’ Man & Hell Yeah, I Like Beer.

Bio Excerpt – In 2002, LaRue led The Organic Boogie Band and released Downtown, recorded in private sessions at Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa. LaRue's 2005 follow-up, The Red Dirt Album, reached the Billboard sales charts in its debut week. The next year, Stoney released his first live record Live at Billy Bob's Texas.


Kevin Fowler

Who - He has released five studio albums, and has charted four singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts

Hometown – Amarillo, Texas

Best Known Songs – Lord Loves The Drinkin’ Man & Hell Yeah, I Like Beer.

Bio Excerpt – Fowler signed with country singer Clint Black's independent Equity Music (a label distributed by Koch Entertainment) and released two additional albums for that label until Equity ceased operations in December 2008. Montgomery Gentry recorded a cover of Fowler's "Long Line of Losers."

Justin Moore

Who - An American country music singer and songwriter, signed to Big Machine Records imprint Valory Music Group.

Hometown – Poyen, Arkansas

Best Known Songs – Small Town USA & If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away

Bio Excerpt – He has also charted eleven times on the Hot Country Songs, including with the number 1 singles "Small Town USA", "If Heaven Wasn't So Far Away", "Til My Last Day", "Lettin' the Night Roll", "You Look Like I Need a Drink", and "Somebody Else Will"; and the top 10 hits "Backwoods" and "Point at You".


Randy Rogers Band

Who - The band is composed of Randy Rogers (lead vocals), Geoffrey Hill (guitar), Jon Richardson (bass guitar), Brady Black (fiddle), Les Lawless (drums), and Todd Stewart (utility player). They have recorded seven studio albums and two live albums, and have charted seven singles on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts.

Best Known Songs – In My Arms Instead & Interstate

Bio Excerpt – The band's fifth album, Burning the Day, was released on August 24, 2010 on MCA Nashville. The album's first single was "Too Late for Goodbye." It debuted at 55 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs chart and after four weeks on the chart, it peaked at 47. "One More Sad Song" was released in late 2012. The song became the band's first Billboard Top 40 hit, and the first single from their sixth album, Trouble.


Ashley McBryde

Who - An American country music singer-songwriter. She has released two albums, Jalopies and Expensive Guitars which was released March 10, 2016 via Road Life Records.

Hometown – Mammoth Spring, Arkansas

Best Known Songs – A Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega & Radioland

Bio Excerpt – Her major-label debut album Girl Going Nowhere, which includes the single "A Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega", was released through Warner Music Nashville to critical acclaim and earned her a Grammy nomination for Best Country Album during the 61st Annual Grammy Awards.

Chris Young

 Who - An American country music singer and songwriter, signed to Broken Bow Records.

Hometown – Murfreesboro, Tennessee

Best Known Songs – I’m Comin’ Over & The Man I Want To Be

Bio Excerpt – His sixth album's first single, "Losing Sleep" was released to country radio on May 12, 2017. Young announced the album was also titled Losing Sleep on August 23, 2017. It reached number one on the Country Airplay on February 10, 2018. The album's second single was "Hangin' On". On August 29, 2017, Young was invited by country legend Vince Gill to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry. He was officially inducted by Brad Paisley.


Dustin Lynch

Who - An American country music singer and songwriter, signed to Broken Bow Records.

Hometown – Tullahoma, Tennessee.

Best Known Songs – Small Town Boy & Good Girl

Bio Excerpt – In November 2017, Lynch made an appearance at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, float his performed-in-popular of their single "Small Town Boy". On September 18, 2018 he was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry. In May 2018, Lynch released the single "Good Girl".


Logan Mize

Who - A Country music artist/songwriter from Clearwater, Kansas.

Hometown – Clearwater, Kansas.

Best Known Songs – Better Off Gone & Can’t Get Away From a Good Time

Bio Excerpt – In 2012, Mize's second album, Nobody in Nashville (released on Big Yellow Dog Music), charted to No. 49 on Billboard Country Albums and No. 15 on Billboard Heatseekers Albums. Mize has opened for multiple headlining acts including Lady Antebellum, The Band Perry, Leann Rimes, Eric Church, Dierks Bentley, Charlie Daniels Band, Blake Shelton (on the Blake Shelton Country Cruise), Stoney LaRue, Hank Williams and a special tribute with Merle Haggard. In the fall of 2013, Logan accompanied Leann Rimes on her UK tour in Glasgow, London, Birmingham, and Manchester.
