Stop Weeds Before They Start

It all begins with a first application, which should take place between mid-March and mid-to-late-April. This lawn treatment is one of the most important of the year, as it offers pre-emergent protection from crabgrass and foxtail for the whole season. It also includes post-emergent defense against dandelions and both grassy and broadleaf weeds, as well as spring fertilization to help your lawn green up sooner. If you hope to control the weeds on your lawn, Woodburn says that the time to do so is now.

Treat Tree Shrub Species Directly

Another crucial element in lawn care is the proper treatment of trees and shrubs. Different species of trees and shrubs will require different types of treatments that may need to be applied at different times throughout the year.
