To be honest, I get asked this question a lot. Way before the shop even opened I wanted it to be very customer friendly and welcoming. When I thought about local businesses that had caught my attention with their customer service practices or policies, one that came to mind was Natural Grocers.
When they first opened in my neighborhood I began shopping there because they carried a brand of organic milk I liked. I kept shopping there because one night I pulled up at 8:58 and to my surprise their store hours read 8:00 am to 9:04 pm.
By what miracle could a store be open until 9:04 pm my mind wondered?! At that moment I became a customer for life. Oh sure, I could always do my shopping earlier at another store or market, but why? I'm busy with a full-time+ job, a teenager, a husband and four dogs. Sometimes I need to pick up organic milk at 8:58.
When the plans were being formed for the business and I thought about how I wanted customer to feel when they visit the shop I thought of my great experience at Natural Grocers.
