The Mission of the Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission is to enhance the quality of life and the economy by taking the lead in promoting, acquiring and supporting a diversity of youth, amateur and professional sporting programs and events.
The Sport's Commission's goals are to establish, maintain and promote sports programs and events in the greater Wichita area, promote the mission of the sports commission, be a central resource for requests, support and assistance for youth, amateur and professional sporting events and activities.
The Sports Commission benefits greater Wichita with economic impact to our community generated through visitor days, hotel nights, personal expenditures, goods and services. Also through facilitates, new and existing events for the Greater Wichita Area. And through communication and cooperation between corporate America and sports teams/organizations in the area.
