About Us
Our office serves most of the state of Kansas. 24 million Americans have diabetes and 57 million have prediabetes. Nearly 9% or 180,000 Kansans suffer from diabetes.
Our office offers several resources for our community. We have programs like Family Link Support Group and summer camps for kids to learn more about managing their diabetes (and have a great time being a kid)! We also have advocacy programs, like Safe in Schools. We raise awareness with health fairs and events like American Diabetes Association Alert Day. We have a library here with books and journals that are free to the public as well.
Our Tour de Cure bicycle ride is back in Wichita! Cyclists of all levels are welcome to attend. Tour de Cure is the premier cycling fundraising event of the American Diabetes Association and the nation’s largest diabetes cycling event. This event is a unique opportunity for businesses, clubs, friends and families to come together to form teams with the vision of a life free of diabetes and all its burdens. When you register for the Tour de Cure you become a part of the American Diabetes Association’s largest fundraising event. Joining you will be thousands of participants from around the country who come together to directly impact the lives of people facing the daily challenges of diabetes and their loved ones.
We lead the fight against the deadly consequences of diabetes and fight for those affected by diabetes. We fund research to prevent, cure and manage diabetes. We deliver services to hundreds of communities. We provide objective and credible information. We give voice to those denied their rights because of diabetes.
