About Riverfest
Wichita's Riverfest began as part of the city’s centennial celebration in 1970, and has grown every year since. In 1972, May 27 was selected as the date to observe the Wichitennial River Festival and Traders Day, which was later expanded into a 10 day Riverfest celebration occurring around the same time each year.
Now the biggest party in Wichita, the Riverfest features a variety of concerts, as well as parades, car shows, food, paddle boats, fireworks, a zipline, helicopter rides and much, much more. You'll find entertainment from dawn until dusk at the Wichita Riverfest.
