Wee Wigglers offers a 30-minute program for children ages 12–23 month. At Wee Wigglers, these children will gain a first-hand experience of the wonders of animals. With interactive learning and an animal visitor, these programs are educational and fun! Wee Wigglers offers a focus on a different animal each month and two programs per month.

A fee of $4 for members and $6 for nonmembers will cover one adult and one child. Additional children can participate for just $2.

Programs take place at 10:00 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. Space is limited; therefore pre-registration is required.

Sedgwick County Zoo is open 364 days a year, closing only one day in preparation for the biggest fund raising event in Wichita — Zoobilee. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause you. We hope that you will plan to visit the Zoo one of the other 364 days of the year. And remember, the Zoo is always closed the day of Zoobilee — which always falls on the first Saturday after Labor Day.

Dance the night away to the rhythm of several bands performing throughout the Zoo! Adult beverages will be served at this Signature Zoo Event so please be prepared to show a valid driver’s license. Senior Wednesdays

Senior Wednesdays at the Sedgwick County Zoo take place at 10:15 a.m. on the second Wednesday of each month. Each session will highlight a different theme and feature breakfast sundries, an informational chat and a tour or special guest. The program is intended for active guests over the age of 55 and is priced at $4 per adult.

Preregistration is not required.

Other locations, including Wichita Museum of Art, Ulrich Museum, Historical Museum, Wichita's Downtown Public Library, Great Plains Nature Center, Old Cowtown Museum, Exploration Place, WATER Center and The Kansas African American Museum host Senior Wednesday events on other dates.
