Irish singer Daniel O'Donnell will perform at the historic Orpheum Theatre on Sunday, June 11 at 7 p.m. One of Ireland’s best-loved artists, O’Donnell burst into stardom in the USA in 2002 with his first PBS special – The Daniel O’Donnell Show. Since then, O'Donnell has recorded twelve more specials. Stand beside Me, O'Donnell's thirteenth special, is a concert celebration of Irish, country, gospel, rock, movie and long-time Daniel O’Donnell favorites.

KPTS Channel 8 is supporting the performance and will air O'Donnell's new PBS special, Daniel O’Donnell: Back Home Again at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Mar. 7.

In the film, a lonely boy named Elliott befriends an extraterrestrial who is stranded on Earth. Elliott and his siblings try to help it return home while keeping it hidden from both their mother and the government.

"High Noon" is an American Western film starring Gary Cooper and produced by Stanley Kramer. The film tells the story of a town marshal who is forced to face a gang of killers on his own. The Dark Crystal is an American–British fantasy adventure starring the voices of Stephen Garlick, Lisa Maxwell, Billie Whitelaw and Percy Edwards. The plot follows Jen, an elf-like ‘Gelfling’ who is on a quest to restore balance to his alien world. In order to do so, he must return a lost shard to a powerful but broken gem. The animatronics used in the film were considered groundbreaking at the time of its release.

The 1977 Italian horror film stars Jessica Harper as an American ballet student who transfers to a prestigious dance academy in Germany. Harper later realizes that the academy is a front for something far more sinister and supernatural and may be linked to a series of murders.
