Bill Faubus began working on VW’s back in 1971. He found he loved “bugs” so much he would love to specialize in just that, so he saved his money and purchased the Ed Jones Automotive shop in May of 1985. That shop has been here in Wichita since 1954, which gave Bill a real foothold on the American dream. Bill found that he enjoyed restoring Volkswagens as much as he enjoyed repairing them.He likes to say that each Volkswagen has a different personality and he gets along with most of them. In 1991 he purchased the Kansas Dune Buggy and
VW Specialties shop on Broadway and has been there since.

Kansas Dune Buggy and VW Specialties focuses on VW service, repair and restoration from the daily driver to the classic show car. We also restore and repair all air cooled & water cooled VW’s and imports too. Domestic cars are serviced by appointment only.

For you high performance VW buffs, we also specialize in machining, lineboring, flycutting heads and oversize cutting.

We sell new VW parts and accessories and have a large supply of used parts in good condition.
