The Wichita State University has released a notice online stating that the men’s basketball game against New Mexico State has been postponed. Originally scheduled for 7 p.m. on Monday, the game has been moved due to inclement weather interference with the opposing team’s travel to Wichita.
Both teams are working to set a time for the rescheduled game. WSU’s Interim Director of Athletics, Darron Boatright says that the teams have been in close communication over the last 24 hours.
The teams hope to play the game on Tuesday, though the rescheduled time will be heavily dependent on when a charter flight to Wichita is available to the New Mexico State team.
Currently, a WSU Women’s basketball against Oklahoma Christian game is slated for 7 p.m. on Tuesday. This will also influence scheduling of the men’s game.
The New Mexico State game will be WSU’s last non-conference match-up prior to the Missouri Valley Conference, which will begin on Thursday.
