Wichita’s Intrust Bank Arena was recently recognized in Pollstar magazine’s Top 100 Arena Rankings of 2016. The SMG-managed Arena ranked the 44th busiest arena in the U.S. and the 89th busiest in the world. Intrust Bank Arena was the third highest ranking arena in the continental United States managed by SMG. SMG manages over 240 facilities, almost 70 arenas and more than 1.75 million seats around the world.
Intrust Bank Arena has also hosted 14 of the Top 100 Tours through the mid-year mark, including Journey & The Doobie Brothers, TobyMac, Brad Paisley, Fall Out Boy, Zac Brown Band, Barry Manilow, Dave Matthews Band, Winter Jam, Luke Bryan, The Harlem Globetrotters, WWE, Disney On Ice, Sesame Street Live and Marvel Universe Live.
“We’ve been able to attract and host a very diverse lineup of events throughout the first half of the year, including Dave Matthews Band, Journey and The Doobie Brothers, the second annual Powerhouse Jam featuring Wiz Khalifa, Fall Out Boy and a brand-new SMG promoted event, DodgeBrawl, which raised $2,250 for local charities,”A.J. The arena’s lineup for the rest of 2016 has been announced, and will feature a performance by KISS, returning to Wichita for the first time in more than 15 years. The group’s Freedom to Rock tour will come to Intrust Bank Arena on July 25. This season also features performances from Carrie Underwood, Blake Shelton, and the Avett Brothers. Other upcoming events at the arena include Wingapalooza and I Love The 90’s, which will feature performances by Coolio, Salt N Pepa, Vanilla Ice and more.
