Home to a variety of different museums, Wichita is a great place to celebrate Smithsonian Magazine’s annual Museum Day Live!
Museum Day Live! offers ticketholders and one guest free admission to participating museums across the country for one day. This year, that day falls on Saturday, September 24.
Participating museums in the Wichita area include the Cosmosphere, Great Plains Nature Center, Kansas Sports Hall of Fame, The Museum of World Treasures, Ulrich Museum of Art, Wichita Art Museum and the Wichita Sedgwick County Historical Museum.
The Great Plains Nature Center, Kansas Sports Hall of Fame, and the Ulrich Museum of Art offer free admission every day.
In order to receive free admission on Museum Day Live!, guests must present a ticket at the entrance of the museum of their choosing.
To receive a ticket, guests must register online, completing a short form require a name, email address and the museum of choice. Please note that a Museum Day Live! ticket is valid for entry to one participating museum only.
Downloadable tickets can then be printed and presented on the day of the visit. Some locations may accept tickets presented on a phone screen. Each ticket will grant admission to the ticketholder and one guest. Additional guests will be required to pay standard the admission fee.
Museum Day Live! Tickets are not valid for special exhibits, parking, IMAX film screenings or any other offers.
