Wichita State University’s Deltha Colvin, associate vice president of Student Affairs and director of Special Programs at WSU was recently appointed the university’s Accessibility Coordinator. In this role, Colvin will coordinate and oversee the school's compliance with accessibility requirements for blind students.
A recent agreement between Wichita State University and the National Federation of the Blind will allow for improvement in the school’s accessibility for blind students. The agreement will also help to create a learning environment for blind students that’s will offer them equal access to learning opportunities and resources.
The Office of Special Programs highlights 15 programs, including the largest TRIO program on a college campus, three Gear Up programs and the Office of Disability Services.
