The Wichita Metro Chamber of Commerce has announced that entrepreneurial expert Daymond John of ABC’s Emmy-winning series Shark Tank will serve as the speaker at this year’s annual meeting.
John is one of the most sought-after entrepreneurs in the country. John innovator, investor, television personality, motivational speaker and an author, as well as a U.S. Presidential Ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship.
John is known as “the people’s Shark” on Shark Tank, as he has developed a reputation for helping underdogs on the show to accelerate their business models to the next level.
The annual Chamber meeting will take place on December 1, and as part of event, John will also interact on stage with local entrepreneurs.
The Chamber’s 2016 Chairman Barry Schwan said, “Our organization has always played a key role in driving innovation and improving the region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. Promoting new economic opportunities across the region is part of our mission and vision, so Daymond John was a natural fit for this year’s event.”
Daymond John has invested over $8 million with 61 entrepreneurs across the country. Though he understands the significance of venture capital investments, his most recent book also champions the “power of broke” and the necessity of authenticity, creativity, substance and passion in successful entrepreneurial ventures.
