Dance to your heart’s content on Saturday, Oct. 24, with Wichita Parks and Recreation’s Zumba Ballpark Party! From 10:30 until 11:30 a.m., come to Lawrence-Dumont Stadium and enjoy a free community wide fitness event for all ages.
“We are encouraging individuals to get up and get moving in a great environment. The weather has been beautiful and the ballpark is a perfect outdoor atmosphere to bring people together and host one of the most popular dance fitness classes,” said Greg Olmer, Recreation Superintendent.
Two certified Zumba instructors will lead the event, which features Latin dance and other rhythmic dance workouts. With skill levels ranging from beginner to advanced, this event is great for everyone. Participants are encouraged to bring a water bottle and a towel.
Additional Zumba classes and opportunities are available through Wichita Parks and Recreation for age groups ranging from seven to seniors. For details, visit www.wichita.gov. Wichita Park & Recreation supports 127 parks, 52 athletic fields, nine swimming pools, eight recreation centers, six interactive fountains, five golf courses, numerous adult and youth-based activities and athletics programs and 2,407 acres of rights-of-way.
