Easter is just around the corner, and the warm weather has everyone ready to celebrate! If you're looking for a great way to get in the Easter spirit and enjoy some fresh air, you're in luck! There are a lot of Easter egg hunts and celebrations taking place in and around Wichita this month. Check them out below!
Easter Eggstravaganza at Sedgwick County Zoo, March 26
A variety of different Easter themed activities will be available during the Sedgwick County Zoo’s Easter Eggstravaganza! From 8:30 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 26, guests will be able to meet the Easter Bunny, play guessing games and much more! Bring your Easter baskets so you can collect goodies that will be located all over the Zoo! The Easter Eggstravaganza takes a unique approach to traditional egg hunts. Rather than collecting eggs, guests can look for large eggs that will be hidden throughout the zoo. Be sure to keep a close count, because answers will be redeemable for a prize!
Regular Zoo admission applies, and members get in free with membership card and photo ID.
Easter Egg Hunt at All Star Sports, March 26
On March 26, All Star Sports also hosts an annual Easter egg hunt on the mini golf courses. Hunts will be held at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. and will offer three age groups. This event’s $3 per child donation will benefit the Kansas food Bank, and two charity raffles will be held. All Star’s west location will also offer an egg hunt special, allowing guests unlimited access to mini golf, go karts, laser tag and the climbing wall from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. The cost to attend is $10 for guests under 56" tall, and $15 for guests 56" and over.
Easter Egg Hunt at All Star Adventures, March 27

All Star Adventures will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt on March 27. The hunt will offer three age groups: 3-5, 6-8, and 9-10. Space is limited, and participants are encouraged to bring their own baskets. The event will begin at 2 p.m. on the driving range. There will also be a chance to meet the Easter Bunny! A $3 per child donation will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Kansas, and a charity raffle will be held after the event. There will also be an egg hunt special for guests who wish to stay and play! Unlimited mini golf, go karts and amusement rides will be available from noon until 6 p.m. Cost per person is $12 for guests under 4” tall and $16 for guests over 48”.
Bunny Bonanza at Tanganyika Wildlife Park, March 26
Tanganyika Wildlife Park will hold its annual Bunny Bonanza Easter egg hunt on March 26 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. The event will highlight games, candy stations, mini egg hunts and prizes! Tanganyika is accepting volunteers to help run the Bunny Bonanza. Volunteer shifts run from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. If you are interested in volunteering, click here.
Easter Egg Hunt at High Park, March 26
The annual egg hunt hosted by the Derby Recreation Commission and the Derby Optimist Club will be held on March 26 from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event will highlight an egg hunt and a meeting with the Easter Bunny! The egg hunt will have four age ranges: three and under, four and five, six and seven, and 8-10. Participants should bring their own Easter baskets. The egg hunt will be held on the High Park ballfields. In the event of inclement weather, it will be moved to the Derby Recreation Center. The Event is free and open to the public, so bring the kids out for some fun!
Midian Shrine Egg Hunt at Orchard Park, March 26
On March 26 at 10 a.m., the Midian Shrine hosts a free children’s Easter egg hunt Orchard Park. The event will feature games, prizes, face painting, balloon art, and an egg hunt that will be divided into various age groups. After the egg hunt, grab some lunch! Hot dogs, hamburgers, and drinks will be available for just $5 for adults and lunch is free for kids Orchard Park is located at 4808 W. 8th Street.
Family Carnival and Egg Hunt at the Newton Armory, March 26
Enjoy a family carnival and egg hunt at the Newton Armory on March 26. From 9 a.m. until 11:55 a.m., guests can play carnival games, jump on inflatables, eat food and win prizes! The best part? It’s totally free! Grab a couple friends, bring the kids and head to the Newton Armory! The event is sponsored by Grace Community Church.
Meet the Easter Bunny at Towne East Mall

Bring the kids out to Towne East Mall to meet the Easter Bunny. Now through Easter, he can be found on the lower level of the mall, just in front of Sears.
