Illuminations

If you have not yet been to Illuminations at Botanica Gardens, please go. I went for the first time over the holiday and it was amazing.

Botanica Gardens is always a breathtaking site. It usually displays a wide variety of flowers and plants in many different gardens around the park. Illuminations takes place in the same park, but is a little bit different. The name does a pretty good job of defining what it is. It is the garden completely lit up. There are holiday lights all over in many different designs and colors.  There are several light shows that are synchronized with music that is playing. In addition, there is a fire show near the children’s garden.

You may think being outside may get a little cold, but there are several hot chocolate stands and fires to stay warm. S’mores are even available for toasting. It’s the perfect winter activity for the whole family. Kids could even take a trip through candy cane lane to visit Santa.

Illuminations runs through December 30th, so there are only a few days left. It’s a beautiful sight, you won’t want to miss it.

For more information, click here. I also took a few pictures, but they definitely don’t do it justice. Take a sneak peek at a few of the lights you will see when you attend Illuminations.
