2010 Events

Our featured artist for February is painter/mixed media artist Sally Cobb. This exhibition; "The Endless Possibilities," showcases her unique collage techniques and highly original images. This show will have four separate themes; Painted Maps, Contemporary Flower paintings, Painted Glass and Abstract Collage. This is Sally's first time as featured artist and it is the first opportunity to see a large collection of her work at one time.

Our consignment artist for the month will be local ceramist Brandon Smith. Brandon and Sally will have their openibg reception during the Final Friday Gallery Walk from 6 - 10 pm on Jan. 29th. The exhibition will be on display till Feb. 24th.

Coming in March, the featured artist will be printmaker, painter and bookmaker Doug Billings.

About Gallery XII

An Art Gallery in Old Town Wichita featuring original works of art.

Gallery XII, the winner of the 2004 Arts Advocate-Group Award by the Wichita Arts Council, is an artists's cooperative fine art gallery located in Wichita's Old Town District. The gallery was established in 1977 and showcases the diversity of the fine arts in the Wichita area by exhibiting the works of over 30 local & regional artists (19) member/partners & 15+consignment artists), in a wide range of different media, styles & subject matter.

The Gallery represents a diverse variety of two- dimensional original fine art. Media includes watercolor, oil, acrylic, pastel, printmaking and photography. Images range from traditional to abstract. Also available is a selection of fine original pottery, sculpture, and hand blown glass.

Whether you are interested in viewing art, selecting a gift or acquiring an addition to your own collection, Gallery XII invites you to visit. A cooperative leasing plan is also available, as well as lay-a-way and gift certificates.
