Alzheimer's Association Announces Pete Rose, Jr., as the Honorary Chair for the 2016 Walk to End Alzheimer's.  Pete Rose, Jr., and the Wichita Wingnuts will be serving as a Walk team to join in the fight to #EndAlz.  To learn more about the Wichita Walk to End Alzheimer's, click on Events, or register here.

Our Mission

To eliminate Alzheimer’s disease through the advancement of research; to provide and enhance care and support for all affected; and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain health.

About Us

Our purpose:

  • To support families and friends of those afflicted with Alzheimer’s disease through education, support networks and crisis management.
  • To provide educational opportunities for caregivers, both family and professional.
  • Increasing public awareness through presentations, the media and fundraising events.
  •  Funding research that may unravel the cause and lead to a cure, better treatment and prevention
  • Advocate and advise federal and state legislators and agencies about the disease and its impact on society.

Our Services

  • Helpline
    Available 24 hours a day/7 days a week, the helpline can put a person in touch with staff who have experience working with Alzheimer’s patients and their caregivers.
  • Support Groups
    Come listen, share and learn from others who understand what you are going through. Groups across Central and Western Kansas meet at various times and are free and confidential
  • Local Resources
    Need information about local adult day care, care facilities or eldercare lawyers? Our staff can direct you toward services that meet the needs of an individual with Alzheimer’s and their caregiver.
  • Respite Care Scholarships
    Our office offers scholarships to primary caregivers of persons with Alzheimers disease.
  • Education
    Attend an education program to learn more about the basics of Alzheimer’s, care giving, working with your doctor, brain health and more. We offer several programs for the families and individuals facing Alzheimer’s and to the community to raise awareness.
  • Resource Library
    Located in the Association office, the library offers books, videos, DVD’s and other educational materials available to be checked out to the public.
