When You Need To See A Doctor

Hunter Health Clinic is a non-profit Community Health Center and can provide you professional, experienced primary care services when you need immediate attention. We offer a wide range of primary care services including medical, dental, mental health, alcohol & substance abuse, as well as HIV/AIDS testing, counseling and outreach services to the community.

It's frustrating to have to wait for a week to see your regular doctor when you're sick -- at Hunter Health Clinics, we'll see you the same day you call for an appointment, and our Dental Clinic is open to walk-ins every day from 7:30 am to Noon.

Our physicians are experts in their fields and see patients throughout the week; in some cases, the doctor you see at a Hunter Clinic may be your regular provider!

Special benefits for senior citizens include:

  • No Medicare deductible charge to patient
  • Medicare co-pay reduced based on income
  • Medicare claims filed for patients
  • Medicare approved charges
  • Prescription programs for those qualified

Serving All

Everyone is welcome at each of our three locations around Wichita, whether you have insurance or not. Permanent addresses are not necessary to receive care, and we are happy to be able to serve you in Spanish, Vietnamese, Cambodian, Lao and Thai as well as English.

We provide services on a sliding fee scale to help make care affordable for those whose insurance doesn't quite meet their needs. For many groups of people, we can provide medical, dental, and mental care free of charge. Some verification of status may be required, but Hunter Health Clinic is pleased to provide care to senior citizens, Native Americans, homeless persons, under-insured and uninsured patients, as well as migrant farm workers and their families -- regardless of citizenship.

As an Urban Indian Clinic, Hunter Health Clinic can see Native Americans at no charge with proof of tribal descent.  Any of the following documents may be used to prove descent; please bring one with you to your appointment:
