About Us

The Wichita Friends School staff and leaders are proud to offer an educational curriculum designed specifically to guide children toward reaching their full potential academically, spiritually, physically and emotionally.

Our professional staff and teachers are committed to giving children a nurturing and safe environment that will stimulate their creativity and desire to learn.

It is our belief that each child is unique and to be respected and valued. To that end we provide a solid, well-rounded program that challenges the child intellectually and stimulates the child's ability to think rationally and communicate effectively. In addition to basic educational skills, children develop creative and critical thinking skills and learn to solve problems peacefully.

The foundation of our school is based on the belief that learning is opening a child rather than filling a child. We are pleased to foster life-long learners who are prepared and excited for their futures.

Pre-Kindergarten
Young children flourish with creative outlets, a daily structure, hands-on learning and recognition exercises. Our Pre-K program keeps children stimulated as it prepares them for Kindergarten.

Kindergarten
Our Kindergarten teacher integrates fun and learning with basic math, science, reading and music for our 5 and 6 year old students. These young learners absorbe lots of new information in a save nurturing environment.

Grades 1st through 6th
As children grow older the ideals of a self-motivated learner are realized. In addition to the curriculum, our teaches stress integrity and personal responsibility to create a responsible student and citizen.

The natural development of the child into a young adult is taken into account by grade 6. Students receive more flexibility, new responsibilities and a preparatory
curriculum for the future.
