NAFE (National Association for Female Executives) is a nationwide organization that promotes generating resources and opportunities for women.
Focus of a Local NAFE Network:
To promote local women in business and community.
Frequency of Meetings: Monthly:
One meeting during lunch, 11:30am, on first Wednesday of month. One in early evening, 5:30pm, on first Thursday of month.
Why become an affiliated NAFE network?:
Our area needs an organization for women on a local level to gain additional resources, referrals, confidence in knowing a quality referral and recommending them, and an outlet to help other women become more self confident, sufficient, and overcome adversity.
On a national level we are provided communications on chapter support, e-newsletters, NAFE magazines, networking ideas, and other chapter and current events pertaining to the organizations membership.
Our mission statement is:
To be proactive in empowering and networking with other women to bring about a positive change.
Qualifications and funding sources:
NAFE requires an affiliated chapter to maintain officers, hold regularly scheduled meetings, and maintain a minimum membership of 20 persons. The dues are $39 annually, with $5 retained by the local network. This portion may increase depending on the chapters needs. Our chapter is now affiliated as NAFE of Wichita, as many dedicated women have committed their time and resources to the local network. We have slated network officers in place, and a chapter liaison who promotes our communication and marketing.
